Now at a elevation of 8,700 feet is Fish Lake That has mackinaw which are lake trout ans cutthroat trout, brown trout, brook trout, rainbow trout and splake. To get to this lake take US 89to Sigurd then follow U-24 south to U-25 northeast. There is a forest service camp ground and picnic area. There are lodges, cabins, cafes and boats also. The lake trout get to 30 pounds and a few splake that are over 20 inches long. This lake is good for ice fishing for splake and rainbow trout. Check the special regulations for lake trout before you go. At an elevation of 3,600 feet located northeast of St George 16 miles off highway 56 is Gunlock Reservoir. Follow Santa Clara River north from Shivwits. There is a boat ramp with primitive camp grounds. This reservoir has a lot of crayfish and some big bass, crappie and catfish. Ivins Reservoir has Largemouth bass and catfish as well. At a elevation of 8,7500 feet located about three miles northeast of Fish Lake off highway25 is Johson Valley Reservoir with cutthroat trout and rainbow trout.Kents Lake is on Kents Lake Road off of U-153 15 miles east of Beaver. Kents Lake has brook trout, brown trout, rainbow trout and splake. About 18 miles north of Virgin on the edge of Zion National Park is Kolob Reservoir. There are no facilities avalable at the reservoir and artificial files and lures are to be used and there are only two trout allowed over 18 inches long. Kolob Creek is closed Januray 1 through 6:00 am on the second Saturday of July.

On the first part of this article we left off with Blind Lake on the Boukder Mountains. The Boulder Mountains has 80 lake and streams to fish and for more information on these lakes call 1-800-366-8824. On a dirt road off highway12 at the edge of Boulder Mountain is Brown Reservoir. This reservoir is stocked with fingerlings of rainbow trout. There are no boat ramps and the fishing pressure is light with good fishing. Southeast of Kanosh is Corn Creek that has brown trout and rainbow trout. Upper and Lower Enterprise reservoirs have rainbow trout and is at an elevation of 5,700 feet. To get to these reservoirs go west from Enterprise eight miles then five miles to Lower Enterprise Reservoir. There is a forest service camp ground near by. There are boat ramp and restrooms as well.  The tributaries to both reservoirs close through the winter and spring. The Escalante River has rainbow trout and brown trout in the upper reaches. As the river flows through the Escealante Canyon waters warm and contain suckers and catfish. Fairview Lake contains rainbow trout and is stocked with catchable rainbow trout. It is on private land but open to the public with a boat ramp but no camping. You can have a boat on this lake but with no motor. Up the road from Mill Meadows Reservoir is Forsyth Reservoir with various hybrid trout and rainbow trout. There is also Fremont River with brown trout and rainbow trout.
